Manufacturing and Distribution Update

Hello Friends!
It is that time for another update! The quality and content are exactly what we imagined being able to deliver to you, our faithful backers. We are almost there and even closer to getting High Noon Showdown into your hands. Check out the summary of changes we made, how everything looks, and what are next steps are!
Manufacturing and Mass Sample Review
We have been working hard behind the scenes to finalize the contract and payment with our manufacturer. It took a bit more than expected to take care of the details, but we finally sent in our first payment in to the manufacturer this week. What does this mean? We can finally move forward with reviewing the mass sample copies!!! The manufacturer should be shipping out the mass sample reviews this next week. Once these have been reviewed and verified to meet our expectations in our quality we can officially start mass production. This should be started by the end of the month and completed by the end of May.
Distributor Updates
While manufacturing is in progress we will be working on finalizing our distributor. We currently have quotes from two potential partners and expect to finalize an agreement with our distributor of choice in the next few weeks. We can then head right into distribution and get High Noon Showdown delivered to the US for final destination shipping. We plan to manage the final distribution of all copies of High Noon Showdown ourselves out of Kentucky. Make sure to check out BackerKit for a local pickup option if you are nearby. It would be great to get to meet a few of our faithful backers in person!
What's Next?
We are in the final stretch, the finish line is in sight! Hang tight and make sure you have filled out shipping information in BackerKit! We want to make sure everyone gets their final copy of High Noon Showdown, but can't do that if we don't have updated shipping information.

Second and Final Printing Sample and Manufacturing Update

Our manufacturer sent us over a second sample copy and we are beyone excited about the results. The quality and content are exactly what we imagined being able to deliver to you, our faithful backers. We are almost there and even closer to getting High Noon Showdown into your hands. Updated Components
Things are really starting to look good! The pictures really are great, but really don't do justice to the changes that were made. Here is a summary of the changes we made to the final sample copy of High Noon Showdown (pictures below).

What's Next?
We are happy with the results of taking the extra time to make sure everything is done right for you and all of our other backers.
Knowing that we have achieved a product that we are proud of means that we can now move on to manufacturing the final copies of High Noon Showdown. Unfortunately, that will have to wait until after the Chinese New Year, approximately the second week of February, and our manufacturing partners are back at the factory and ready to continue helping us move forward. This means we are expecting and hoping that our final timeline will be as follows:
Complete manufacturing by the end of March
Coordinate shipping of the final copies of High Noon Showdown to our distribution center and finalize the addresses of our backers by the end of April
Ship out and/or coordinate local pickup of the final copies of High Noon Showdown to all backers by the end of May
We know many of you were excited to deliver these as Christmas and holiday gifts for friends and family. But we wanted to be sure everything was and continues to be done right and that you get only the best. We would like to express our deepest and most sincere apologies for these delays and appreciate all of your continued patience.

Printing Sample!!

Our manufacturer sent us over a sample copy! We're super excited about it, and it finally arrived!!

Aw yeahhh, we're stoked to see this getting closer to getting it in your hands.
Good, but let's make it Great
While we loved the majority of the sample, we did notice a few issues to correct:
The Rulebook seems to have been printed with a higher contrast, causing colors to come out janky.
The playing cards feel flimsy compared to our initial playtest protoypes - we're looking into using higher quality cardstock.
The card titles on the Action Cards (expansions to the game included for everyone) are the same font size as the rest of the text - we want this to be a slightly larger font to make it more clear.
The number 11 playing card lost its lasso. Free range doors anyone? - That'll be fixed.
The box was printed with a linen finish. It looks alright, but isn't what we expected. We're investing possibility of having a glossy finish instead.
What does that mean for you?
So... we really hate to drag it out longer... but we really want it to be high quality. We want to be sure the cards aren't going to fray and rip after only a few games (the games can get heated!).
We want to be sure it is done right.
That, unfortunately, does mean it likely will not be shipping to you in November. We will be working diligently to ensure it gets to you as soon as possible, but the timeline is looking like February. After fixing the issues from the first sample, we'll be receiving a second sample. It could take up to 5 weeks to receive that updated sample. Then assuming that copy meets our standard, we roll into manufacturing and shipping. This will take roughly 3-4 weeks to finish printing followed by another 3-4 weeks to get through customs and distributions.
We would like to express our deepest and most sincere apologies for these delays.
We know many of you were excited to deliver these as Christmas and holiday gifts for friends and family. We want to be sure it is done right, because you deserve only the best.

BackerKit Survey Update!

Hello everyone!
We recently sent out the surveys to collect everyone's addresses. Yay!
If you've already filled out your survey, your address is correct, and you're not local (or just wanting it shipped to you anyway) then you can stop reading and disregard this update! (:
We've received some questions about local pickup... I have good news! We were able to work that out!
If you're local, you can now select "Local Pickup" in the "Select your country for shipping:" drop-down menu. (See the first screenshot below)
When you get to the Shipping section, you may simply input "N/A" for the fields other than your name.
You can still input your shipping address and phone number in case there is an issue later and we can get it shipped to you. (See the second screenshot below)
You can use the link in the BackerKit email sent to you previously, it'll still work, and you can change your address if you need to until we lock them at the end of October.

Monthly Update #4: Late Pledging Available, Manufacturing, & Backerkit Survey

Hello Again Backers and Supporter!
It has been about a month since our last update. We have been busy communicating with the manufacturer and distributors since then. The design files have been finalized and we are working through approving the proofs from the manufacturer this week. We plan to have the proofs approved and be starting the process to get a sample copy of High Noon Showdown this week. Check out our detailed progress updates on the key items below.
1) Late Pledging
Late pledging is still available on BackerKit. Share High Noon Showdown with your friends and anyone that might have missed backing us during our original Kickstarter campaign. Anyone that is interested, can still commit to pre-ordering a copy of High Noon Showdown at our BackerKit page here: High Noon Showdown Pre-Order. Please note that we do not currently plan to have High Noon Showdown available for retail purchase and this crowdfunding campaign is currently the only opportunity for everyone to get a copy of the game.
2) Finalizing Design and Rules
We have finalized the game design files and rulebook. All completed files have been sent over to the manufacturer and we are currently in the process of approving the manufacturer proofs of the design files by the end of the week.
3) Manufacturing and Fulfillment Progress
Upon approval of the manufacturer proofs, we will coordinate receiving a proof copy of High Noon Showdown. Once we have approved the sample copy, mass production and fulfillment can begin. We expect production and fulfillment to take approximately 3 months. We have two potential distributors lined up with request for final quotes out to a third distributor to ensure we are able start fulfillment as soon as we can after manufacturing is completed. We have been assured that they are not currently nor do they expect to experience manufacturing delays due to COVID or supply chain issues. We will keep you updated if anything changes.
4) BackerkitSurveys
We are in the process of finalizing the Backerkit surveys to collect everyone's shipping information and payments. Make sure you are watching for a Backerkit email from us over the next few weeks so that we can collect everything we need to ensure we can ship out the final copies of High Noon Showdown to everyone in an efficient and timely manner.
